As the brisk November 2025 days unfold, we, at Enbecom, maintain our steadfast commitment to various environmental projects across the globe. Working in unison with our eco-project collaborator, Ecologi, our attention this month is on two highlighted initiatives: Establishing forest gardens in Busoga, Uganda, and mitigating landfill methane emissions in Brazil.
Establishing Forest Gardens in Busoga, Uganda
In Uganda’s Namayingo District, the main crop cultivated by subsistence farmers is cassava. This form of monoculture farming doesn’t encourage a balanced diet, potentially leading to nutritional deficiencies. However, a shift is imminent. A project we’re endorsing instructs these farmers on cultivating multiple crops in what are referred to as ‘forest gardens’. This crop diversification allows farmers to have more nutritious diets and enhances food security in their societies.
Mitigating Landfill Methane Emissions in Brazil
The second project we’re highlighting this month brings us to Brazil. A distinctive scheme here traps and flares methane from landfill gas, thus curbing this powerful greenhouse gas from reaching the atmosphere. Additionally, the trapped methane serves to generate electricity, taking the place of fossil fuel power and contributing to sustainable growth. This project exemplifies the inventive methods by which we can handle waste, tackle climate change, and support renewable energy simultaneously.
We take pride in having sponsored the planting of 4661 trees since the inception of our partnership with Ecologi over four years ago. This accomplishment underlines our dedication to fostering a greener, healthier planet for everyone.
